The way in which many of us book holidays has changed dramatically in recent years. Ten years ago many of us would have relied on our local travel agents to find us a good deal.

When we came to think about our next trip away, we’d simply wander down the high street and nip into a few travel agents shops, picking up a number of different holiday brochures to compare prices offered by different tour operators.

Comparing prices sometimes involved taking into account certain special offers that might be available, or any additional costs caused by the time of year (school holidays, for example) or number of people travelling.

When thinking about destinations, resorts or particular hotels, our opinions might largely be shaped by what friends and family had told us, what we’d read in magazines, or maybe what we’d seen in holiday-related television programmes.

If your vacation time is about to start, but you have not yet decided where to spend your holiday, why do not you try to do ski holidays? Ski is a famous sport in many countries, especially countries that have winter. Since ski is played in a snowy area, there are only few places where we can play ski. But even if not all places can be used to play ski, it does not mean that the cost to spend a vacation to play ski is expensive.

Actually if you want to have a cheap vacation, not necessary have to be ski holiday, but for all kind of holiday, you do not have to join any vacation packages offered by some travel agents, this is because you will also have to pay the fee for the travel agents, beside that when you are joining a vacation package, you will have to stick with their tight schedule, and you are not free to choose the place that you want to visit. Therefore, for you who have low budget but high desire to travel, try to become a backpacker. You will be more involved with the local’s life and I believe your vacation will be more meaningful.

South Africa

Be it the gilded grasslands of Botswana’s Okavango Delta or the dazzling Mediterranean shoreline of Tunisia, Africa has a hoard of adventure activities on offer. As wide and varied it is geographically, it offers limitless prospects for adventure travel of all kinds – from diving and rafting, whitewater to mountain-climbing and trekking.

For some reason however, adventure in South Africa equates with Safari Travel. It is the best-known area for safari in the country is Eastern Transvaal. It is an uninterrupted stretch of pampas lengthening for approximately 400 miles along South Africa’s northeastern border.

South Africa’s small parks have activities on offer and attractions unique to their particular region. In Natal you will find parks of the Drakensberg Mountains that tender opportunities to trekkers, climbers and birdwatchers. Royal Natal National Park and the Natal Drakensberg Park are similar places filled with fun and excitement.

Also in Natal you will find a cluster reserves, including Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park. These comprise of a lovely territory of savanna and jungle. Hluhluwe Umfolozi is known for large numbers of rhino and Nyala.

Bali, Indonesia

Bali is well-known for its volcanic landscape and great adventure sports.  Rafting on the white waters of Ayung and Unda rivers or even snorkeling, ocean rating or racing in the boats at jet speed; you dream it and Bali has it on offer.

Nepal

Nepal is a big name as far as mountain climbing goes. After all it is home to the world’s uppermost peak Mount Everest. But that is not the only place in Nepal where travelers go to. Nepal has got a lot more to offer than mighty Everest and its adjoining peaks. This Himalayan kingdom also offers challenges in form of Annapurna trek, paragliding, wildlife jungle safaris and rafting.

Tehran, the capital of Iran, has got several interesting spots that attract culture-oriented tourists. During your Iran travel excursion, make sure you include Darband foothill area at the North of the city when you visit Tehran. There are more than a dozen of restaurants both indoor and outdoor in a cool pleasant valley where a lot of life and culture can be experienced first hand.

Visit Tehran Foothills

Some Tehrani people spend their weekend, Thursdays and Fridays, at the foothills of Tehran. There are several mountain tracking and hiking pathways where people go for exercising and spending a sportive weekend. When you visit Tehran and happen to be there during weekend, remember to pay a visit to Darband area, which is one of the most popular pathways with lots of restaurants in it.

Many who don’t want to go hiking, take their lunch or dinner in some of Darband restaurants to enjoy their traditional Iranian meals in a pleasing setting where the temperature is cooler, pollution doesn’t exist, sound of running water is heard form the river and shady outdoor tables invite you to dine.
